George Zakaib, MDGeorge Zakaib, MD

Specializing in Orthopaedics and Hand Surgery

Dr. Zakaib earned his medical degree from West Virginia University. He completed an internship in General Surgery and one in Orthopedic Surgery. Hands being of special interest, he completed a fellowship in hand surgery from the University of California, San Diego. He was in private practice in Hawaii and West Virginia before joining Willamette Valley Medical Center in 2006.

James Ruf, MDJAMES RUF, MD

Dr. Ruf received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his internship and residency at University of Michigan Department of Orthopedic Surgery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Prior to joining Willamette Valley Medical Center in 2009, he practiced in Colorado, Oregon and Washington.

James Ruf, MDMichael Vessely, MD

Dr. Vessely, board certified orthopedist, earned his degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and his doctorate of medicine from Oregon Health and Science (they recently changed their name) University in Portland. He completed his internship in general surgery at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center and his residency in orthopedic surgery from the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Mo. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Oregon Association of Orthopaedists, the North Pacific Orthopaedic Society, and is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
